Board of Directors:

The Workforce Development Board of Contra Costa County is a unique public/private partnership providing oversight for federally funded workforce programs in Contra Costa County, excluding the City of Richmond.

The Board brings together private sector leaders, economic development, public agencies, education, labor, and community-based organizations to focus on local and regional workforce development and related community issues.

Executive Committee:

The primary objective of the WDB Executive Committee is to support system alignment, service integration, and continuous improvement, using data to support evidence-based policymaking.

The Executive Committee generally meets on the 2nd Wednesday of every month from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm at 4071 Port Chicago Highway, Suite 250 in Concord or by Zoom during social distancing protocols.

Business and Economic Development Committee:

The primary objective of the Business & Economic Development (BED) Committee is to meet the workforce needs of high-demand sectors of the local and regional economies.

The BED Committee generally meets on the 1st Wednesday every other month from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm at 4071 Port Chicago Highway, Suite 250 in Concord or by Zoom during social distancing protocols.

Youth Committee:

The primary objective of the WDB Youth Committee is to increase the number of young adults between the ages of 14 and 24, with emphasis on at-risk youth and those from low-income communities, who graduate prepared for postsecondary vocational training, further education, and/or a career.

The Youth Council generally meets on the 4th Monday of Jan., April, Aug and Oct. from 12:00 pm to 1:30 pm at 4071 Port Chicago Highway, Suite 250 in Concord or by Zoom during social distancing protocols.
